About

Money, explained properly.

Most personal finance content is written to win ad clicks, not to make you understand anything. VestInClass is built the other way. Every article works through the actual numbers, defines each term the first time it appears, and is honest about where the advice stops working.

It’s for people who want to get this right themselves: someone staring down a first 401(k) match, a DIY investor choosing between two index funds, or anyone running the FIRE math for the first time. You can read straight through the Start Here path, or drop into whatever question you came with.

How we work

  • Plain English, defined as we go. No unexplained acronyms, no assumed background.
  • The math stays on the page. Worked examples and tables, so you can check the reasoning instead of trusting it.
  • Evergreen, not news.We cover the things that stay true for years, not this week’s headline.
  • Sourced, and corrected. Claims cite primary sources. When something changes, we revise the article and mark the update.

Articles are written and reviewed by Matthew Hollander, CMP, a financial services professional with more than a decade of experience. Found a mistake? Tell us; corrections are a feature here, not an embarrassment.

VestInClass is not a registered investment advisor, and nothing here is personalized financial advice. See our disclaimer for the full picture.
